Learn to skate TESTING

Each Learn to Skate level has a specific list of skills that a skater must master to advance to the next level. Our coaches will be keeping track of your skaters skills and will “test” them to see if they can advanced to the next level. Testing will be done once a month or as necessary for all LTS skaters. This will take place during your skaters normal practice time on an unannounced date by one of our adult coaches. When a skater advances to the next level, they will earn a “badge“. Badges are a great incentive for your all of your skaters hard work and will be presented at the end of the year banquet.

Your skater will also be receiving a Skater Record Book in their Learn to Skate Welcome Package a couple of weeks after lessons start. This list all the skills of each level and will help your skater keep track of their progress. Please keep this book in a safe place!

Remember, each skater progresses differently and at their own pace!
Please do not compare your child to others. Encouragement is key to success!
