The Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center (HOMCC) was constructed in 1969 and named in memory of Huck Olson, a former sportswriter for the Thief River Falls Times. The City of Thief River Falls owns and operates the center. The HOMCC seats 3600 and has an 85′ x 200′ ice sheet.

Thief River Falls constructed a new $13 million arena, named the Ralph Engelstad Arena—Thief River Falls, thanks to a generous donation of $10 million by LHS alumnus Ralph Engelstad and his wife Betty, This arena is located next and connected to the Huck Olson Memorial Civic Center, creating one of the premier hockey and civic complexes in the state of Minnesota.
